The Liberties Training Centre is on the near-forgotten historic Mullinahack, by Oliver Bond Street. Today their trainees will be putting the finishing touches to the centenary wreath-stand to be used at 2.30pm on Easter Monday by the descendants of Sean Heuston’s 1916 garrison, when the Lord Mayor of Dublin will honour the 29 Irish Volunteers who fought for Irish freedom at the Mendicity Institution: ‘Heuston’s Fort’.
